Moved in

So we moved and the kitchen has arrived (most of it anyway). Gigantti delivers their wares on Tuesday... Would be nice to have a functional kitchen. So far our only cooking device is a water boiler - if you can put it in a cup and pour hot water over it, we'll eat it, and the choice ends there. Riiiiight.

E finns in sladd i våron lägenhäit som styr uvi grannanas tv-skådas. Om man kapar oåv sladdin (för at an såg så gambäl å livlös ut) så sir itt grannan na tv. Sa di.

Living room almost finished

So I got up at 5.30am today and came home 9.30pm. It's been a long day.

Walls in the living room have a nice texture, which you get with the spongy roller like this one here:

Here we have the final color and a few rows of laminate.. Still some left to do for tomorrow..

...men osäkert kvann na möbler ska ha rum om torsdain tå flytten je planera. Idag ha vi målat med in roller som stretta grymt mychy färg uvi häila oås --> en kassörsk kona itt hald se utan skratta me rakt i ansikte tå ja va in å handla. :-/

Progress

Idag kan vi kanske buri moål. Jiihaa! Kanske kommer vi tillåme at ha golv tå vi flyttar in. :-)

Flyttsugen

Hamsu ha börja yöv åp at flytt genom att rym om nettren. Igår rymd an två gangår genom att kletär opp åp en snackstång, dra se opp ti terrariumkantin me hjälp oåv sina hamsterbiceps å hopp nier oåp golve. Sedan gömd an se i baston me sina matfyllda kindpåsar. Skrypdjure. Bra at viet at an nu itt har na emot flyttase.

Kitchen

We discovered the walls in the closet had lips which made it 14cm narrower, which means the blueprints had to be revised, again.. The streamlined look is gone, but whatchagonnado :-/

The floors in the living room

...are now gone. In places, there were upto 3 layers. Now we get some real headroom :-D

Idag beställde vi nya vitvaror (men egentligen stainless steel). P.g.a. helgdagar kommer vi att få dem först cirkus en vecka efter att vi flyttat in. Det blir väl att leva på mikropizza för en tid...

Sen köpte vi laminatgolv på samma gång. :D Megafina såklart. Nu gäller det bara att börja på med själva renoveringen när shoppingen är avklarad. Huga. Sandpapper here we come!

Selling off

So we went to plan the kitchen in Kettiö.net, and the price was sky-high, mostly because of the stone counter, I suppose. The price of the stone is not the biggest problem though (about 300€/m2) , but the price of measuring, transporting and cutting it runs up to almost 1,000€. So, wood it is (with our luck, we like the most expensive variety, of course). Well, now we are trying to squeeze all the extra expenses from the price. E.g., the package of kitchen appliances from Kettiö.net was ~2,300€, from Gigantti we got an offer for 1,999€. Well, we liked it so much we are getting the stove hood from them too, I suppose.. The new kitchen and appliances mean that the old ones have to go. All the cupboards, the stove and the fridge are for sale:

They are so cool I want to buy them myself! Right.

New floorplans

So today we went to measure the kitchen and boy is it small! The floorplans have to be reviewed... The unfriendly people at Keittiö.net promised to model it in full color, and the cupboards are nicer actually. Well anyway, due to the 'new smaller' size, I have to use two views here: from behind the kitchen wall...

...and from behind the opposite wall (so that you can see our applience wall, which is not transparent unlike the rest of the walls). Never mind the backs of the furniture, I don't know why it's this awful color but since you can't really see it...
